Nha Trang
The seaside city of
Nha Trang is the political, economic, cultural and tourist center of Khanh Hoa province. The beaches of Nha Trang are known among the most beautiful beaches in the world. Nha Trang is also a festival city where many festival took place like the Beach Festival, Miss Universe 2008 pageant, Miss World 2010 pageant... The city has a mild climate, beautiful beaches, and is easy to reach: road, air or railway.
ATTRACTIVE SITES IN NHA TRANG
Thap Ba (Ponagar Towers)
These Cham towers were erected between 7th and 12th centuries on a marble hill, once in the open sea but now connected to the mainland. The most beautiful date from 813 to 817. Today there are only four, each dedicated to a god.
Hon Tre Island
With the area of 25 km², Hon Tre is the largest island in Nha Trang Bay with beautiful secluded beaches. It is home to the resort complex Vinpearl Land which attracts many visitors. To get to Hon Tre Island, the frequent transport is the boat; in addition, travelers can reach it by cable car.
Tri Nguyen Aquarium
On Mieu Island, the closest island to Nha Trang city, there are 2 main attractions that are Tri Nguyen Aquarium and Soi beach. The Tri Nguyen aquarium has a collection of sea fish as well as plants and organisms of sea. Passing the aquarium, you will arrive at Soi beach, its name Soi means "gravel", the name comes from the gravels very round and smooth on the beach without sand.
Yangbay Waterfall
The Yangbay waterfall lies at the bottom of a fertile primitive forest, it is 100m high. It is a natural site made up of mountains, waterfalls, and clean air.
Leaving the Yangbay waterfall we arrive at the Monkeys island. It is a small island in the middle of Nha Phu Bay, the quiet bay is 18 km north of Nha Trang city. On the Monkeys island there are not only thousands of monkeys but also beautiful and quiet beaches.
Climate
Nha Trang is influenced by both the tropical monsoon climate and the oceanic climate, the climate of
Nha Trang is thereby temperate. The average temperature is 26ºC with 2605 hours of sunshine per year, the highest temperature is in August (29.3ºC), the lowest is in February (23.9ºC). The rainy season in Nha Trang is between September and December. Nha Trang is not influenced by storms. The period from January to August is thus very favorable to travel as well as to bathing.
